Prof. Janusz Kacprzyk

Professor, Systems Research Institute,
Polish Academy of Sciences (SRI PAS), Warsaw, Poland.


Professor Janusz Kacprzyk is a distinguished Polish engineer and mathematician, renowned for his contributions to computational and artificial intelligence, particularly in fuzzy logic, decision making under uncertainty, and data analysis. He serves as a professor at the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Throughout his career, Professor Kacprzyk has authored over 680 publications, including approximately 150 papers in journals with impact factors, and has edited or co-edited around 175 volumes. His work has garnered significant recognition, with over 36,000 citations and an h-index of 81 on Google Scholar. He is a fellow of several professional societies, including IEEE, IET, IFSA, EurAI, IFIP, AAIA, and SMIA, and has received numerous awards, such as the IEEE Pioneer Award in Fuzzy Systems and the IFSA Award. Professor Kacprzyk's extensive contributions have significantly advanced the fields of computational intelligence and fuzzy systems.

Dr. Mehdi Toloo is a Reader in Business Analytics at Surrey Business School, UK. Prior to this, he held esteemed academic positions as a Professor of Systems Engineering and Informatics at the Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic, and as a Professor of Operations Management at Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman. His research interests span across Business Analytics, Operational Analytics, Operations Research and Management, Decision Analysis, Performance Evaluation, Multi-Objective Programming, and Mathematical Modelling. A highly regarded scholar in his field, Dr. Toloo has actively contributed to numerous international conferences in various capacities, including chair, keynote speaker, presenter, session chair, workshop organizer, and scientific committee member. Notably, he has been recognized among the top scientists worldwide in Business Analytics and Operations Research for the years 2020–2024, according to the annual ranking by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier. Dr. Toloo has led and collaborated on several international research projects and currently serves as an editor for leading journals such as Computers & Industrial Engineering, Decision Analytics, Healthcare Analytics (Elsevier), Journal of Business Logistics (Wiley), RAIRO - Operations Research (EDP Sciences), and Central European Journal of Operations Research (Springer). He is the author of fifteen books, and his research has been widely published in top-tier journals including the European Journal of Operational Research, OMEGA, Energy, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Journal of the Operational Research Society, and Annals of Operations Research.

Prof. Xiaonan Xiao

Prof. Xiao Xiaonan, Ph.D. academic advisor, and vice dean of the Department of Information and Computational Science at Xiamen University Tan Kah Kee College. He is the Associate Dean of the College of Information Science and Technology and a member of the International Association for Biostatistics & International Statistics Association. Professor Xiao is the executive director of the Biological Mathematical Society & Mathematical Society of Fujian Province. He has been awarded The Distinguished Teacher of Higher Education in Fujian Province. His expertise mainly focuses on the studies of complex systems modelling and optimal control. He has published 124 articles in important journals and 23 academic works and textbooks. He was awarded numerous nationwide and international prizes in research and teaching, including 69 research projects that have won national, provincial, and college awards (33-first awards, 13-second awards, 10-third awards, and 13-excellence awards).

Prof. (Dr.) Jayadev Kar

Prof. Jayadev Kar holds a B.Sc. Engg. (Hons.) in Electronics & Telecommunication from UCE Burla (now VSSUT) and an M.Tech in Computer Science (Image Processing) along with a Ph.D. from Utkal University. With over 37 years of experience in academics, administration, and curriculum development, he has served as Professor, Dean, and Technical Head at leading institutions, including Pathani Samanta Planetarium. He has guided many Ph.D. scholars and co-authored nine books in vocational education. Prof. Kar is passionate about student-centred curriculum design and currently serves as Director of Interscience Institute of Management & Technology.

Prof. Dr. Srikanta Patnaik is the Chairman of Interscience Institute of Management & Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He has received his Ph. D. (Engineering) on Computational Intelligence from Jadavpur University, India in 1999 and supervised 12 Ph. D. theses and more than 30 M. Tech theses in the area of Machine Intelligence, Soft Computing Applications and Re-Engineering. Dr. Patnaik has published more than 60 research papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He is author of 2 text books and edited 12 books and few invited book chapters, published by leading international publisher like Springer-Verlag, Kluwer Academic, etc. Dr. Patnaik was the Principal Investigator of TAPTEC project “Building Cognition for Intelligent Robot” sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and Major Research Project “Machine Learning and Perception using Cognition Methods” sponsored by University Grant Commission. He is the Editors-in-Chief of International Journal of Information and Communication Technology and International Journal of Computational Vision and Robotics published from Inderscience Publishing House, England and also Editors-in-chief of Book Series on “Modeling and Optimization in Science and Technology” published from Springer, Germany.

Prof. (Dr.) Debahuti Mishra is currently a Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Faculty Engineering and Technology (Institute of Technical Education and Research, ITER) under Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (Deemed to be) University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Prof. Mishra has around 200 research publications to her credit in various International and National Journals, Conferences proceedings. Prof. Mishra has had supervised sixteen Ph.D. scholars and contributed seven books on various research domain of Computer Science. She serves as the Editorial board members in several National and International journals of repute. She has organized about 25 International/National conferences, workshops, symposiums, winter schools. She has successfully completed one DST-NIMAT Project for Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp; a research consultancy services in multi-objective in handover in 5G network for IoT/IoV communications and one Start-Up Project from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Her commendable work in research and academic administration has fetched her several awards and recognitions. She was awarded the BEST RESEARCHER on the eve of Engineers Day in 2018 and the WOMEN ICON on the occasion of Women’s Day in 2016 by Ever Green Forum, Bhubaneswar for her contribution towards technical education and research. She is also an active member of the Red Cross Society.

Hakim Bendjenna is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Tebessa University-Algeria, where he has been since 2004. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Constantine University, Algeria and Toulouse University, France in 2013. His research interests lie in the general field of Information systems and image processing with special focuses on security issues. He has led numerous groundbreaking research projects in these areas. He has taught primarily introductory programming courses and courses in system engineering for over ten years. He also frequently serves as a program committee member for various international conferences and workshops. He is a chair of several conferences. He is the head of LAMIS laboratory at the University of Larbi Tebessi- Tebessa, Algeria.

He has completed his Ph. D. from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India in the field of Fluid Dynamics with his PhD. Thesis Title “Homotopy Simulation of Convective Flow of Non-Newtonian Fluids”. Apart from qualifying national exams like NET-JRF (Mathematical Science) and GATE (Mathematics), he was university topper in his Master degree in Mathematics and Allied Science from Jiwaji University Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He has completed his bachelor's from D. A. V. College Abohar, which is affiliated to Punjab University, Punjab. Dr. Ray has more than 8 years of teaching experience in different institutes and universities (which includes MNNIT Allahabad (Teaching Assistant), GCE Keonjhar Odisha (under NPIU Govt. of India, TEQIP-III), ITER, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandha Deemed to be University Bhubaneswar and MITS Gwalior). During teaching, he uses different modes of teaching and taught different flavours of mathematics and computing. He has published number of publications in SCI/SCIE/ESCI/Web of Science and Scopus indexed international Journals of highly repute. He has collaborated his work with Reynolds researcher and Professors from India, USA and UK. He is reviewer of many articles in international Journals (like Case study in Thermal Engineering (Elsevier), Heat and Mass Transfer (Springer), World Journal of Engineering (Emeralds Insight), Waves in Random and Complex Media (Taylor & Francis) and Asian Research Journal of Mathematics etc.). Dr. Ray has been invited as speaker in many webinars and workshops. He is also 2 members of several professional bodies and societies. He has presented more than 14 articles in different national/international conferences. He has organized various webinars and workshops/FDP on the emerging topics of Mathematics and computing. Along with conduction of workshop, he has attended many workshops/FDPs/Webinars in national and international institute/universities online/offline mode. Dr. Priyanka Mishra was born in Jaipur, India, in 1980. She received the B.E. degree in Computer Engineering from the Modi College of Engineering & Technology, Laxmangarh under the University of Rajasthan, India, in 2003, and the M. Tech. Degree in Computer Science in 2006. She received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur, India, in 2016. She is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Dept of CSE, IIITK, MNIT Campus, Jaipur. Dr. Mishra is a life member of CSI, IEI, ISTE and Professional Member of ACM. She is also a Member of IEEE, CSTA, IAENG, SDIWC, SCIEI, IRED, Rotary Club Jaipur, UACEE. She is a Member of the Editorial Board of many International Journals viz. IJCSE, IJCST, IJCTT. Wenbin Zhang is a Hakka-born Postdoctoral Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University after receiving a Ph.D. degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is also an Associate Member at the Te Ipu o Te Mahara Artificial Intelligence Institute. The main focus of his research is on designing machine learning algorithms that have theoretical performance guarantees and social consciousness. During his previous studies, he also spent time at L3S Research Center, University of Milano-Bicocca, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Télécom Paris and George Mason University.
